First Day in Seratau Kampong relaxing and catching up

We are very grateful to have been welcomed into the family home and are being very well taken care of!

Had a much-needed sleep-in after a very late night and woke to this lovely view out of our window

After the rain had cleared, we explored the garden

We had brought Australiana gifts for the family.

Cheeky fun-loving W trying on Bibi's glasses

After relaxing and catching up in the morning, we headed out for a yummy lunch at Homevilla Seafood in Siburan.

And then visited a grocery store. We learnt about Bunga Kantan (a flower also known as torch ginger) that is used in Malaysian cuisine

After lunch, we collected Ann's eldest grandchild up from school as she often does. Heidi spotted this on our drive through the area.

And then spent more time in the garden watching and listening to the birds

  1. Looks like you are getting out and about already.
Pleased to see you haven't lost your heads! Maybe the local tribe don't think you are of any value.
    Love to all
