To Market To Market

 We collected Catherine so that we could take her to the bank and to the Markets. While Catherine, Bianca and Linda were at the Bank W took Heidi shopping for the essentials. He had listened to us talking in the car and knew what we needed to buy! He took Heidi around the supermarket putting all of the right things in the trolley without her telling him what we needed! He also grabbed some Oreo's for himself ;)

We then drove to Serian.

As we drove back into the Kampung we snapped the monument - Tugu Kampung Seratau


We ate the yummy treats for afternoon tea

It poured with rain as we returned home


And another yummy home cooked meal (again just like a restaurant meal)!

    How did the Bank go? Wilbur sounds a gem. Market looks fabulous. More eating, but it does look delicious.

    The Bank went extremely well. The Bank teller Nora gave us a printout of all Catherine’s details including the swift code that is needed to transfer the funds. I have now sent the signed documents to the insurers in response to their email to me and we will wait to see their response

      Still waiting, frustrating still haven’t had a response tried ringing, call cut off but they did say they would look at it and expedited due to the fact that I was only here for a short time. Keep fingers crossed

 After another chilled morning, we head off into Kuching after Ann's grandmother's duties. Drove past the Borneo Convention Centre... And another impressive roundabout  Fort Margherita Note the emblem above the door The Brooke family crest and motto, "While I breathe, I hope" Inside had very well laid out displays and information on the Brooke family and their involvement in the modern history of Sarawak and the way that they looked after the interests of the indigenous people of Sarawak. Cassandra came to visit this afternoon, and Wilbur was very excited to spend time with her Lucas then cooked us a yummy Kue Tiau dish Ann had bought us some lemang - sticky rice so we also tried some of that Ann came back with some yummy fries with salted egg mayonnaise We were then able to give Cassandra her gifts We then took the chance to recreate a photo Linda had of herself when she was 42 Then... and now ...
