Into Town - visit number 2
The following day was another day of relaxing and catching up. It was raining again as we woke (after a sleep-in).
Every morning, we are treated to a gorgeous breakfast, and the table is always set out nicely with what we need.
After doing jobs in the morning, we headed back into town for a walk across the bridge and through streets we had not yet explored. Loving the cat sculptures.
After visiting a money changer and having a bite to eat, we visited the Borneo Cultures Museum; however, we decided that we would go back another time, as it was closing in an hour and it was so big that we wouldn't have done it justice. We did explore a free exhibit on the traditional crafting of their materials.
We had some energy (not as much as the Energiser bunny W!) so we then walked over the bridge.
Hornbill features often (not quite as much as cats do). The hornbill is the symbol of Sarawak, and the cat is the symbol of Kuching.
We then walked along the river on the opposite side
Pengkalan Sapi Park/Jetty (Sapi means bull)
State Legislature
Sarawak Flag at Dataran Ibu Pertiwi
The view looking across the river to the city
Fort Margherita
Rather than walk back across, we took the boat back
We then continued along the river on the city side
There are quite a few murals that we went searching for.
Jalan Ewe Hai
The owner of this bar is an influencer - Global Gibbon - we saw him going for a jog while on our walk, Bianca recognised him. We then saw him with his mates at his bar. We thought Doogs and Pete would appreciate the van
