Jungle Adventure
Lucas wasn't home on the day that we gave the first presents, so we kept some for a time when we were all together.
On our second day, it was time to venture into the jungle to find orangutans in the Semenggoh Nature Reserve, a sanctuary built to care for and rehabilitate the orangutans, with the ultimate goal of eventually releasing them back into the wild.

As it was a little way to get to the viewing area we decided to take the buggy to ensure that we got there quickly.
We spent over an hour waiting and listening for any movement. During that time, Heidi searched for other animals to take photos of.
Unfortunately, they were not hungry and the centre closed for the middle of the day. We decided to visit a local shopping centre for lunch and pick up some essentials.

Linda and Heidi chose Tofu and Kailan
Outside the shopping centre, there was a huge mural of the last ring ladies of Sarawak

On the way back to the wildlife centre, Ann showed us around the area.
We had everything crossed in the hopes that when we returned in the afternoon that we would catch a glimpse of an orangutan.
We were in for a real treat.
After waiting for a while and looking and listening, Bianca crept up to Mum and I and quietly said I think that I might have spotted a baby in the tree. Sure enough, there it was quietly watching us all!!
It then made its way down to the platform, where they had left a bunch of bananas and a coconut.
We were then blessed when a second, much bigger one came down for a much larger meal.

On the drive home, we caught glimpses of gorgeous light displays on the lampposts and along the side of the road. They were a little difficult to capture; however, Linda managed this shot.
